Saka Indonesia Pangkah Limited, a subsidiary of PGN Saka and an affiliate of Pertamina’s PGN Gas Subholding, received three Nusantara CSR Awards on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The awards presented this year were for the PASTI BERSIH Program, the PANTAS PANDAI Program, and an award for Mr. Medy Kurniawan as President Director of PGN Saka.
The PASTI BERSIH (Clean Water Facility Provision) Program received a score of 9.2 in the Clean Water and Proper Sanitation Category, while the PANTAS PANDAI (Reduction and Utilization of Non-Hazardous and Toxic Waste Generation at Onshore Processing Facilities) Program received a score of 8.8 in the Responsible Consumption and Production Category. In addition, Mr. Medy Kurniawan also received an award as a Sustainable Business Transformation Leader.
PGN Saka is always committed to making positive contributions to the environment and community empowerment around its operational areas. PASTI BERSIH, initiated by PGN Saka, aims to provide access to decent livelihoods related to sanitation and clean water needs in Manyar District and Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency, through a community-based management model starting from the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages of the program, executed in collaboration with the Association of Drinking Water User Residents (HIPPAM).
Furthermore, PANTAS PANDAI, initiated by PGN Saka, is one of the company’s social and environmental responsibility programs to reduce and utilize non-hazardous waste as a manifestation of the company’s commitment to playing an active role in waste management programs. This program is an integrated non-hazardous waste management initiative aimed at reducing generated waste, utilizing waste, and utilizing trash while contributing significantly to empowering surrounding communities.
Both programs were planned and implemented by PGN Saka not only as a commitment but also as sustainable business practices.
