PT Saka Energi Indonesia (SAKA), as part of Pertamina’s Gas Sub Holding, through its entity Saka Indonesia Pangkah Limited, successfully achieved the La Tofi ESG Rating 2026 with the highest Platinum Alignment predicate and a score of 90.46, as well as being included in the list of Best 100 Operation Units / Sites / Suppliers Indonesia 2026. This achievement is external recognition of SAKA’s commitment to running safe, reliable, compliant, and sustainability-oriented upstream oil and gas operations.

The award was received as part of the Indonesia Green Awards 2026 & Best 100 La Tofi ESG Rating 2026 organized by the La Tofi School of Social Responsibility on January 21, 2026, at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, and was received by SAKA HSSE representatives. This award emphasizes that the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation does not stop at administrative compliance, but is directed toward tangible and measurable actions in the field.

The assessment was conducted through document analysis and desk reviews using the La Tofi ESG Rating – True Significant Risk–Action Impact methodology, which evaluates the alignment between significant ESG risks and the executed mitigation actions while driving future sustainability performance improvements and supporting ESG reporting aligned with international standards. ESG was evaluated through four main pillars:

The assessment results demonstrated a very strong performance across all pillars, with achievements of LRMI 100, RSAI 90, AMS 88, and FVS 85.8, yielding a final score of 90.46 (Platinum Alignment). An LRMI of 100 indicates the company’s ability to map local risks comprehensively, particularly in coastal operational areas, while the AMS and FVS scores reflect strong mitigation actions that are measurable, sustainable, and tangibly verifiable.

Based on the La Tofi ESG Rating mapping, SAKA is in the Leader Quadrant: ESG Risk High – Action High, indicating the company’s capability to address high ESG risk exposure in the energy sector through strong and consistent mitigation actions, including coastal (mangrove) conservation, fishermen conflict management, clean water supply, community economic empowerment, and governance strengthening supported by periodic evaluations and active collaboration with local stakeholders.

SAKA’s ESG performance also recorded a Risk–Action Gap of 0.10, which is classified as small and demonstrates an excellent balance between significant risk levels and the quality of mitigation carried out. Despite achieving the Platinum predicate, the La Tofi ESG Rating still provided recommendations for reinforcement, including enhancing target-based and more preventive fishermen conflict prevention, as well as increasing the role of stakeholders as collaborative partners in planning and implementing coastal conservation programs, clean water governance, and local economic development, thereby strengthening program ownership and making its impact more sustainable.

This recognition places SAKA alongside national companies demonstrating strong commitment to ESG, while serving as encouragement for all SAKA Officers to continue strengthening real actions, maintaining consistency in improvement, and embedding a culture of sustainability as part of how the company manages risk, increases operational resilience, maintains stakeholder trust, and conducts responsible upstream oil and gas operations in delivering energy for the nation.
